Putting the MFD into Maintenance Mode is needed for configuration settings, and is easily accessed by following these steps:
- Power on the avionics
- accept all message on the MFD
- scroll to the AUX page
- hold the left number one and three button (L1 and L3) (~20 seconds)
- once the page flashes, release the buttons; you are in maintenance mode
- you will enter each section via the applicable button to record the settings
