Issue
We are operating and maintaining Piper Seneca V, PA34-220T aircraft, fitted with Avidyne MFD EX5000 and ART2000,
Part No.071-01519-0101.
We are facing difficulty in the weather radar System, where we are not getting Radar Indication on the MFD. Check the following:
The interconnection between RDR2000 and MFD , 28 volt DC is available at Pin No. 34 & 35, and Pin No. 36 & 37 are Ground.
Interconnection between Radar and Configuration Module found OK.
Interconnection between Radar and MFD also found OK.
Following are our observations..
a) No movement of scanner ,whatever mode is selected on the MFD i.e., STBY, Test Mode.
b) No Radar Test Pattern on MFD,
c) 5 VDC is not available at the Configuration Module Pin No. 5
Solution
If your inputs are correct, and you are not getting 5 vdc at the config module, and the unit is not sweeping , I would expect that you have a bad ART2000, you will need to get it repaired or exchanged via Bendix King.
