How to tell if the IFD is receiving the correct air data information (from PFD, etc...)

Go to "Aux" then go to "Utilities" and select "Calculators" You should be able to scroll through to "Air Data Calculators" The air data calculator includes data fields for altitude, calibrated air speed, heading, total air temperature and barometric setting and will produce a wind computation.
