When upgrading the IFD5000i to the latest release of software shops must confirm the following:

1) you have the Jeppesen NavData (specific for 9.4) installed

2) you must have good GPS coverage - get out of the hangar

3) you must have the R9 checklist installed - new checklist for R9 units are in the Software Tab in the Product section for the R9 (IFD5000i)

4) make sure the IFD status page has no red X's
